    Marketing Manager: Bohemia Place Markets & The Hackney Social

    Are you a driven, self-motivated marketing expert with experience in the live music and/or hospitality industry? Do you have a passion for creating successful events and attracting customers?

    We're looking for a creative and driven individual to lead on the marketing for our popular independent street market in Hackney, Bohemia Place Market and our multipurpose music and arts venue,The Hackney Social.

    Your role will be to support the development of the programme of events at Bohemia Place, creating a solid format that maximises awareness of Bohemia Place Market and The Hackney Social. You will be an active contributor to idea generation for overall markets and events and meet targets for the volume of customers.

    Responsibilities will include building and implementing a detailed marketing plan, liaising with media outlets, market research, briefing photographers and videographers, managing social media platforms and actively creating content.

    The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills, be community-spirited, and have a passion for Hackney. They should also be highly organised, able to multitask, and work efficiently to tight deadlines.

    Our popular Hackney-based independent street market, Bohemia Place Market, a showcase for local artisan traders and street food vendors.

    Monday - Friday 09:00-17:30

    (40 hours per week)

    Role Objectives

    To lead on the marketing for both Bohemia Place Market and The Hackney Social and associated businesses

    To support the development of the programme of events at Bohemia Place, creating a solid format that can eventually be expanded across multiple sites

    To maximise awareness of Bohemia Place Market and The Hackney Social

    To contribute towards idea generation for overall markets and events

    To be focused on meeting business targets for sales, platform growth and be an avid contributor in ways these can be met.

    Responsibilities

    Build and implement a detailed marketing plan for Bohemia Place Markets and The Hackney Social events

    Collaborate with the design teams for content needs, briefing in a timely manner

    Oversee and input into the promotion of Bohemia Place Market and The Hackney Social; liaise with relevant media avenues, write press releases and mailers, ensure website and social media platforms are up to date, coordinate the production and distribution of printed assets, coordinate the production of online assets

    Complete regular market research and explore new opportunities to improve the markets and events for customers and traders, maximising profitability and securing repeat visits

    Create a format to deliver monthly marketing reports covering online marketing activity

    Brief photographers and videographers to create content from the events

    Attend regular team meetings to feedback and discuss newly confirmed bookings and future plans - contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

    Any other duties as directed by the General Manager, Head of Marketing & Events and the Business Director

    To create unique and effective content to use cross-platform.

    To contribute towards idea generation and the general growth of the festival and brand.

    To be focused on meeting business targets for sales, platform growth and be an avid contributor in ways these can be met.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Execute a detailed social media marketing plan for Cross The Tracks festival that covers all key platforms, reflecting and analysing throughout.

    Lead on the copywriting for Cross The Tracks communications across web, social media and beyond.

    Creative content production from simple graphics to Reels using appropriate tools like InShot, Adobe, Canva. Training to be given where necessary.

    Plan the content calendar with great attention to detail and with up-to-date industry knowledge inputted.

    Be responsible for all inbound and outbound communications from our official platforms, mailers and inbox.

    Collaborate with the design teams for content needs, briefing in a timely manner.

    Input into the promotion of the event; liaise with relevant media avenues, write press releases and mailers, ensure website and social media platforms are up to date, coordinate the production and distribution of printed assets, coordinate the production of online assets.

    Work with other partners where necessary like influencer management, PR, brand partnerships and collaborations.

    Be a happy, enthusiastic and friendly first point of online contact for our Cross The Tracks audience and festival goers.

    Due to the nature of our group of companies, from time to time, your role will also include work on other brands and roles within the company as requested by your line manager or the management team.
